Can you charge gaming laptops like alienware m15 or msi gs75 with 72watts(omnicharge dc barrel port) on idle. I want to know more about msi gs75 will it charge

It kind of depends on the laptop, some laptops will detect the input they are receiving and cut it off if the PSU isn't powerful enough whereas others will just accept what they can get. It is generally easier just to buy a compatible PSU off eBay or similar.
