You'll want to use Displayport.

Not all HDMI ports on the monitors are fit for 144Hz and the RTX series of GPU's doesn't have DVI (dual link). HDMI might work, it just depends on what port they have in the monitor; but displayport will work regardless of whatever at the full spec.
