Ok so the fx 8350 was mostly limited by its  bad architecture, that’s common knowledge. But what if the 8350 had something like a zen architecture???

a 4 core 8 thread 4ghz “ryzen 8350”. do you think that would be practical, and would you buy it? I personally like the sound of that, but what do you think?

That's called the Ryzen 5 1400/1500x.

4 core, 8 threaded Zen chip.

What you really need to do is have the integer units all there but half the floating point Processors, which are shared.

That's what FX had, and part of the huge "Is it 4cores or 8cores really?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
