My google chrome has started producing smallish squares and triangles, they are worst when the screen is updating, I was wondering if anyone else has encoutered this problem because it is only happening in chrome and not on my entire computer. I have suspected the GPU overclocking I was doing last night because 3D mark 11 now has horizontal static lines as well, but if I run fur mark it all runs smooth on the maximum overclock I had on it, 1160Mhz GPU and 1500Mhz for Mem and for a 7970 I dont think that is over the top at all. I have a duel Bios switch that I have flicked so I can put that back and see if it fixes it but I was hoping someone might know what is going on.

Edit: 3Dmark 11 has the static lines no matter the weather overclocked of not and the flickering in chrome does appear to overlap the youtube video player.

Edit #2: completly reinstalling chrome did nothing.

Here are some pictures for reference.6nuwx.png6nw7U.jpg

I get this on my laptop, except it's purple squares. When that happens to me my laptop crashes after a short while. My laptop does have sound cracking and lag when things load or start and what not. I'm too lazy to format it though.

As Chrome might say, it's dead Jim. You might have a messed up GPU. Hard to say really. Did you do a full reinstall of Windows, or just Chrome?

Wired. My Chrome works fine....... for now.......

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

Few, flicking the bios switch on the GPU has fixed the chrome problem haven't tested 3Dmark 11 yet, so my computer is running how it was before I started messing with it last night, I guess have a high overclock on my GPU just isn't something I can currently have, plus I don't think my ambient room temp of mid to high 20C is any good for an overclocked systems anyway, just going to have to stick to the 1000Mhz and 1450Mhz I know is safe and live with it.

Thanks for the feed back guys, always appreciated.
