Hi, name's Marstruc, I'm new here. To the point.

I've recently been looking to upgrade my PC from it's current, miserable specs to something more appropriate for today's games and such. Another reason is to improve general system speed, which is quite bad in it's self.

I have a general budget of less then £200 and I'm trying to spend as little as I can while providing good performance. Oh, and if you haven't guessed already, I am English.

I'm going from my current system of:

Motherboard: Asus A8N-VM

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+, 2GHz, Socket 939

GPU: PowerColor Radeon HD 7750 1GB

RAM: 3.2GB, mixed random, DDR1, 400MHz

PSU: Some random 500W power supply that came in the case (It's worked for over a year, so... I'm not bothered)

Form factor: MicroATX

(Please note, I am only upgrading the CPU, Motherboard and RAM)

To:

Motherboard: ASRock FM2A55M-DGS Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor

GPU: PowerCore Radeon HD 7750 1GB

RAM: Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

PSU: The same random PSU

Form factor: MicroATX

I'm using PCPartPicker to keep track of the parts and prices, and it totals up to £161.36 (At the time of posting), as seen on this link: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2rSBC

I'm hoping to see if anyone has some suggestions for me, perhaps?

Thanks for reading,

Marstruc.

Looks fine to me. I'd see if you can get a FM2+ motherboard.

It performs better then my previous cards, which were the Geforce 210, and roughly 5 years before that, the Geforce 5200 FX (Old school, but could still run MoH:AA at good settings), so I'm not complaining.

Sorry, I don't usually go on forums running this kind of software. Usually just vBulletin.

I would go for FM2+, but I'm worried about prices still. I'm trying to keep the price to a minimum will still going for good performance for today's games. I'm not too bothered when it comes to 'high quality' settings, I prefer to go for performance unless it's a beautiful game anyway and is well optimized.
