RX 580 Stops Output While Loading Game

Specifically Warframe. Every time I load up the game, the loading screen finishes, and then the monitor stops getting signal. It will get signal for a black screen about every thirty second before the monitor goes into sleep for lack of signal again. The only way to get out of this is to press the power button and press cancel in the Windows shutdown screen, which brings me back to my desktop. I’ve restarted my PC three times and this has been a problem for two days now.

do you have a monitor with ACSR setting? My monitor will do that if i have ACSR on.

What PSU?

 

Is it the PSU whining malfunctioning during the power delivery ramp up?

Random Ideas:

 

1.) Try lowering your resolution to something you wouldn't normally use. Launch the game on the lower resolution and see if it stays running. Then quit, switch back to normal resolution and check again.

 

2. ) Disable Direct X 11 or 10 or both in the launcher and see if any of these three options has an impact. If the game stays running, this is a bug other people are posting about in the latest updates, check Steam forums for additional ideas.

 

3.) Try running the game in windowed mode instead of fullscreen and see if it stays running. Switch back to full screen.

So it could be coil whine from the GPU (likely) or coil whine from the PSU (maybe) as when the power ramps up in the PSU (if its the PSU failing to delivery power it will whine like that and since its not powering correctly it may be the causation of the screen issues).  If its the GPU fans exhibiting coil whine, there may be an issue with the GPU only but coil whine isn't indicative of PCB failures on a GPU...just shity fan issues.

 

Open your case and put your ear right on these objects and see if you can differentiate which one is for sure exhibiting this whine.
