JDS Atom question about pre-amp output

DotoreN

Maybe a noob question but I currently have my computers 3.5mm jack connected to the RCA input on my amp and my headphone plugged in the amp. Everything works fine and dandy, but I've been wondering what is this output (on the left) for? I can't seem to find a reason to use it.

RCA out is for speakers. The speakers you use will need to be powered as the RCA alone wont power much.
