RTX 2070 overclocking question.

My 2070 is a Galax version (GALAX GeForce RTX 2070 EX). I can only get +100 mhz on the boost clock. Any higher it wil crash or artifact will appear. What is your result oveclocking the rtx 2070 ? I would like to know thx.

I got 1990 MHz on my 2070 but it only got me a 2fps boost not worth it imo, if you want a proper overclock use MSI oc scanner.

my rtx is barely stable at 1995, and appearantly that isn't even the worst luck. currently running 1950 for efficiency

Mine is stable at 1720 mhz, That pathetic. Did i guess a bag card from the lottery ?

Thats probably average its pointless overclocking rtx anyway

you have to monitor the frequency while it is around 65-70C on full load, it's probably higher than 1720

I have the galax rtx 2070 ex oc with the cheaper nvidia gpu TU106-A. Luckily i was able to overclock my card by +190Mhz on the core and 1050Mhz on the vram. I got an overall 8-10fps gain. The card runs at temperatures ranging between 73-81°C on load with idle temperatures at 43°C. I have been able to see a max boost of 2100Mhz on the core but average varies between 2025-2070Mhz depending on the temperature. At these clocks my card is very stable. Maybe got lucky i guess.

 

System specs:

MSI B40 Mortar

Ryzen 5 2600 clocked at 4.2Ghz @ 1.375V

Trident Z RGB 17-18-18-38 3000Mhz RAM @ 2933Mhz 14-16-16-17-24

Galax Rtx 2070 EX OC @2070~2100Mhz
