so i don't understand how my gpu has been getting up to 50%c idling. my room temp is set at 20%c +or mines here and there. also my msi after burner shows its at max boots all the time. its aspos to go in to boost when you game if im not mistaken. my gpu is a gtx 1080 g1 so not a power house or ment to be overclocked as its a single 8 pin. running at stock settings (i had to drop all the  mec clock and core clock to get the boots down to like 600 was at 1500)

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx

also i edit post alot because you no why...

50 Celsius or 50 percent? two different symbols here, a little confusing which is relevant.

If it's 50 Celsius at idle, that's fine because the fans aren't spinning due to zero RPM mode.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

50c. but the fans rpm is pulsing. 0 to1400 rpm every 2 seconds

Agree, 50*C is normal as the fans on these more modern GPUs don't kick in during idle and low loads -- as @fasauceome mentioned. My EVGA GTX 1070 does this too.

You can set the custom fan profile, if you wish.

You can select the fan speed for a given temperature, etc.

50*C is not a problem; I would be concerned if your GTX 1080 is getting 85*C+.

What temperature are you getting when the GPU is used...like when in-game?

Sorry, see my updated response.

Fan CAN pulse on/off, IF it reaches the set temperature that triggers the fans to turn on.

I don't know what the set on temperature is for your Gigabyte G1, but let's say it is 55*C.

54*C and under, the fans are off.

55*c, and your fans turn on..cools the GPU down to 53*C.

At 53*C, the fans are off again...until GPU reaches 55*C or above...and they come on again.

You are perfectly fine then.

That is actually pretty good temperatures for a GTX 1080 with a gaming load.

well its at 49. so i guess at 50 it ramps up? just odd that im doing nothing on my pc and its pulsing. its never done this to any gpu i had before. i can see if its overclocked but its bone stock settings. i set a fan profile to have fans at 20% and rmp up after 50 degrees c

what about the boots? its at 700 at idel

The GPU won't be running at full boost speed when idle.

This is normal for all GPUs.

The GPU does not need to be running a full speed...when you are sitting on the Windows Desktop, or watching a video on YouTube or Twitch.tv.

MSi AfterBurner has the ability to monitor / log GPU + Memory Frequency -- it should be one of the graphs at the bottom part of MSi AfterBurner.

HWMonitor is reporting current value is 1633 MHz, but MSi AfteBurner is showing lower...or appears to be.

You can close down FireFox, and see if it is still ramping up.

ALSO, is that UsedVictoria tab there?

Do you also live in the Victoria area? ?
