Removing Windows digital license

tl;dr: bought a laptop with Windows 10 home, bought a Windows 10 Pro key from a seller. Product key isn't activating Windows 10  Pro and I am fully aware that it could be the keys fault, already emailed seller. I am looking to completely remove Windows 10 Home digital license. I do not want to transfer the license, just completely remove.

So I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 15 3567 laptop and it came preinstalled with Windows 10 Home activated with a digital license. I also bought a Windows 10 Pro key from a seller in my country.

When I try to change my product key from Windows 10 Home it gives me an error saying the product key didn't work. If I format the hard drive and install Windows 10 Pro and then try to activate it with the key I bought it gives an error saying it can't activate because I don't have a valid digital license or product key. Clicking troubleshoot tells me that it found a Windows 10 Home digital license for this device running windows 10 Pro.

Whilst I am fully aware that the problem might be because of the product key I bought, what I want to do is remove the digital license on this laptop completely. I am not looking to transfer it to another computer or anything. I have already emailed the seller regarding the product key and should receive a new key soon.

try disabling the internet and format the drive and dont enable internet at all. if it still says that it detected a licence, that means that windows is storing a key into the bios/firmware. if this is a desktop, try clear cmos and factory reset the mobo

It's a laptop, I've tried disabling the internet and complete formats and it still detects the license. Is there any way to clear it from the bios?

not sure you can do it on laptops. laptop bios's are *TERRIBLE* and have no features/usefull stuff.. but try a factory reset in the bios. i doubt it will work, but try.
