I wanted to have a clear side on a Dell T7400, so I decide to ask some of the best tech people the internet can find. I was thinking if it would be possible to cut out a part of the aluminum case and seal in some plexiglas. Would this be a good project with that material or would tempered glass be better?

There's nothing wrong with plexiglass, but it may get scuffed up and scratched easier than tempered glass. It's going to be easier to put in and is more durable, but the glass will be more clear and look better, despite being harder to mount. They both have their trade offs

Thank you! I just wanted to know if there would be a problem with plexiglas. I dont care much for looks, I just dont want to pop open the side of the case every time I want to look at it.

It'll be pretty easy to drill through and mount, based on what I know.
