Old ltt video

Ok there was an old video linus did on YouTube where he got an engineering sample of I think the xeon 8180 then bought one off Ebay and got scammed? I think is it possible it was a sample for the 3175x? Considering it takes a special motherboard? Honestly it's been killing me all day

It did end up working in the end, and they turned out to be Xeon Platinum 8176 chips. I doubt there would be pre-production chips of something like the 3175X floating around a year before it actually launched.

If it's the video I'm thinking of, it definitely wasn't an engineering sample for the 3175x... It was about a year ago? Was it Linus in his office setting it up on the test bench hooked up to his TV?

I do believe the 3175x is based off the 8180 though, but I'm not sure so you'll need to look in to that.
