Does this Computer have MicroSD Card Support

I have a Lenovo T420 and I heard that it had some type of like 4 in one memory reader although I am not sure. I have a 128GB microSD card and an microSD card adapter which came with it. Would I be able to pop in the microSD Card adapter into this computer and be able to read from it without any drivers needed, or would this even be able to read the card?

If you do have the Multi Card Reader (which is optional), I seriously doubt whether it will support SDXC format given the age of the computer.

Since you have both the computer and the card, why not try it out yourself.

I believe (more from experience than knowledge) that SD card readers (on PCs) are back compatible as long as the OS supports the file system. I had an old (2008) Dell monitor with a SD card reader that would read a 128GB SDXC card if I needed it to. It really only becomes an issue with devices like cameras where you don't have the option to change file system.

 

Electrically, all the cards are the same (ignoring UHS-II, etc.), and I presume they have support for falling back to older/slower speeds if that's what the reader requests.
