Securing MSI GTX 980ti backplate when installing Arctic Xtreme Cooler III?

WastedJoker

Hi,

Unscrewing the backplate so I can remove the front plate and place the heatsinks over the vram/ram modules means the screws now have nothing to screw into - is the gpu cooling mount sufficient to hold it on securely?

So I got it installed but the cooler has a tiny bit of play in it. I am not sure how much tighter I dare make it.

Should there be some play between the pcb and the cooler unit? Temps seem ok but I think they could be better and I'm wondering if it's because the cooler can move a bit.
