Has anybody used SilverStone HDDBoost? I was just wondering what the performance was like, and what transfer speeds you get compared the the actual speed of the SSD you are using. Are there any other devices or software with the same functionality?

It's a SSD cache. Basically, anything you access often will be on the SSD, and the when you write, it will write on the SSD, and slowly write on the HDD.

From what I can see, performance is so-so.. like in between an HDD and SSD, and that only occurs on most used stuff. It's a good compromise if you really want more speed but can't afford a 120GB SSD to get you started. The cost of this system is higher latency, and uneven performance.. For example, your web browser might open to SSD speeds, and a few other programs, but you open a program that you use rarely or just installed, and it will be down to HDD speed.
