so ever since updating to windows 10 1809 ive had stuttering issues when i first start up games which goes away quickly and my 3d mark score dropped by about 2k (14k 1803 vs 12k 1809) points overall. i updated to this version to take advantage if Ray Tracing for my new 2080 Ti.   ive tried reinstalling drivers with DDU, turning game bar and game mode off none of which seems to help my issue at all.  is 14.7k where a OC'd 2080 Ti should be for firestrike extreme? it was 15.9k when i first tested it with ver 1803. any help would be appreciated

as Linus himself stated premium features come at a cost of stability or early adopter woes. these are unpolished and dare say beta driver. as for windows.. that a dumpster at best furthermore, synthetics are adversely affected in whats going on in your OS at that time. especially if you tested this right after the update background processes are still working and internal caching up to 2 weeks may occur.

my only real advice is clean install windows on another drive or partition off 30gb and test those numbers again. that way to eliminate any 3rd party software issue. narrowing it down to just driver's or windows.

There is no enemy. The foe on the battlefield is merely the manifestation of that which we must overcome. The doubt, and fear, and despair. Every battle is fought within. Conquer the battlefield that lies inside you, and the enemy disappears like the illusion it is.
