i'm looking to get a ryzen 5 2600 which says max memory speed 2933mhz and an msi b450 pro-m2 motherboard which supports 3466mhz oc, will it run 3200mhz ram, i know i might sound stupid but i'm a complete noob

I suppose short of trying to overclock things, the fastest RAM supported will be that of the CPU support. In other words, the 2933

Be warned, the B450 chipset doesn't allow a lot of OCing.  If you have the money I would go with the X470 or X390 chipset.

i checked the MSI website and it said this mobo supports 3466mhz

 

will 3000mhz ram work with that max speed cpu
