First build Help

Jas99

Here is the build I’m planning for mostly productivity, I know it might be a bit much for productivity but I’m upgrading from window 7 pc from 2007 that doesnt supports windows 10, and since extended support for windows 7 is gonna be cut off I want to upgrade to something decent

You don't need an AIO for that cpu unless you plan on overclocking quite a bit. The stock Ryzen cooler will do perfectly fine. Everything else looks pretty good

I have been fine with 3 gbs so far, so 8 should be enough but could always upgrade later on

Switch the m.2 for a 120gb (boot drive) SSD and with the extra money get one or two 2tb 7200 HDD(s)

also, you should probably get 16gb (ik you said you are fine with 8, but the more the better)

Ya I originally had a boot drive plus a 1 tb HDD

but I thought what’s stopping me from using my old 500Gb HDD plus a 500 GB  M.2 what do u think

Prices soo confusing with Canadian Peso.

You have a good build everything is Okay, but your GPU is so bad.

Here's my take:

- Change the motherboard to lower the price.

- No need for Water cooling, the included heatsink is just good enough if you're not overclocking.

- Replace ADATA with a proper Crucial MX500.

- add 3tb of HDD

- Remove 1050 and replace it with 3x better performing RX580 for the same price.

Result: cheaper than your original build.

ahh missed that one there, yeah 16 much is better.

I just randomly picked the same brand as the original (asus).

yeah... don't...

asus prime and TUF in general are normally not meant for this, or are just overpriced.

and asus in general is getting worse, and more expensive, if they don't change anything soon, I won't be recommending them much anymore...

btw, asrock used to be asus, so it's a good compromise
