I'm assuming that you're using the Intel stock cooler, which explains the high CPU temperatures.

You can undervolt your CPU in Intel XTU (Guide) and/or buy a better CPU cooler (like an Arctic Freezer 33 eSports ONE)

First lesson:

Intel stock cooler sucks. (No fault of your own, just saying.)

Get a Cryorig H7 or something.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

The stock cooler is the reason your CPU is running hot. 80C won't kill your CPU, but if you're really worried about it grab an aftermarket cooler.

Cooler Master 212 Evo is a good budget upgrade

Those temps are crazy high and it is not even full load.  Try to run Aida64 stability test and look at your temps.  Do not dare use Prime95 or any other synthetic stress test as it will kll your CPU and take you to 100c on full load.

He is using stock cooler, that is the first mistake as Grockle88 said.

well, can't really blame him if he is a novice builder, but yeah i reccomend Arctic Freezer 33 Esports one edition, should be able to handle your CPU, even with a fair OC

You can try undervolting in Intel XTU (If you are new and you don't want to mess around with your Computer just yet), there are so many guides in YouTube for undevolting and don't worry, undervolting is harmless.

Looks like your CPU is throttling as it went down to 20 percent and eventually it gives a red screen .. that hardware failure and what not.  So you are not stable at all.  You need to take down your overclock and reduce the cpu voltage.

Its a reason, but voltage is more important here. CPU doesn't need much more than 1.15V to run stock clocks.

Try lowering voltages and maybe reseating cooler first. You need new thermal paste for this. While I do agree that stock isn't really enough for i7 in heavy use, you are still getting bit too high temps than you should.
