A upgrade from old system

Go to solution Solved by SorcierX,

Would depend how cheaply you could get a 4770K -- it's older than Ryzen and costs more I believe. ( probably used, if you can even find it ) Honestly if you feel the need to build a new system right now, Ryzen would be the way to go, Intel is more expensive and you don't gain anything.

I want to upgrade my system since its old and i think it does not worth to gey ddr3 1600 mhz 16gb ram for my system right? my ram is 2x4 = 8gb ram.

My budget is 3000 TL ( Turkish Lira)

I mainly want to use it for sony vegas and gaming also some other apps.

What do you think do i really need an upgrade?

If it is possible i really want a intel build once again.

My current system is

CPU:Intel i5 4440 3.1ghz 1150
GPU:Nvidia GTX 1050ti MSI Gaming X
CPU Cooler:Be quiet! Shadow Rock TF2
PSU:Seasonic 520w Bronze 80plus evo edition
HDD:WD Blue ezex 2017 edition 7200rpm 1tb 64mb cache
HDD:Seagate 500gb 5900 rpm 6mb cache
SSD:Corsair Force Le 200 120gb 500 write/read speed
Mobo:Asus H81M-C
Ram:8GB 1600mhz

Power supply not needed but recommended due to overclocking the CPU and allow for future upgrades w/o worry. ( completely up to you )

I know you want Intel, but for the money AMD is way ahead at the moment.

CES just happened AMD 3rd Gen Ryzen rumored to launch Summer 2019 - might want to wait to upgrade, maybe even save few more dollars to see what happens when it launches.

Bottom line: Don't buy Intel just cause "Intel" if you're looking to do anything production wise ( video editing ) more cores for cheaper is a better value and you won't lose enough on gaming to notice by going with AMD especially if you take the time to overclock the chip which is relatively safe to do these days.

edit: You can re-use your CPU cooler according to it's SPEC as long as you still have all of the mounting hardware you didn't use.

Can i ask you another question, if i get that build or wait for a new 3rd gen, will i get more performance in overall? will it be a noticeable difference?

If you wait and get 3rd gen Ryzen it will mostly likely come with a performance boost, but it also might cost a little more, on the other hand the system i posted might actually drop in price a little.

if you really don't NEED to right now, I'd wait til Gen3 Ryzen comes out, at the very least, but that's the decision for you to make.
