Help- USB audio distorts and lowers and crackles

So like I said above, my headset (Xbox Stealth 600) used to work fine with my pc. Now, for some odd reason, the audio distorts and lowers and sounds as if its slowed down and really deep sounding, then it picks back up and starts crackling. I need some help because now every game I play sounds like that, and it's completely random when it happens

sounds to me like the usb cable is wearing out, but that is just a guess.  It could also be failing usb ports or controllers on your pc.

The USB is entirely wireless and switching it around doesn't help
