A while ago i tried i realized that my RAM can handle 2400mhz (not overclocked, just the normal speed it was made for) but it was only clocked at 2133mhz. I chose to change the clockspeed to 2400mhz and my pc bluescreened. I was very tired and decided to go to sleep, and fix it in the morning. The next day when i came home from school, i had forgotten about what happened, and my pc worked fine for 20 minutes or so. I decided to boot up a game and then my pc bluescreened. The two main errors i got were: Driver Overan Stack Buffer and Kernel Security Check Failure. At this point my pc could boot fine, but when i launched a game it would bluescreen after about 5 minutes of gaming. I tried this a couple of times, and all of a sudden it instantly bluescreened everytime i started my computer. I could use my pc for about 2 minutes every third boot so i decided to use the advanced boot thing, and press the repair button (my windows is in danish, so I'm not sure what it's called in english) and it said i had to reinstall windows 10. I was of course very confused and mad, but i proceeded to reinstall windows 10. This wouldn't work for some odd reason, so i had to download the windows media tool, and try to repair my current windows. Being as stupid as i am, i had not realized that this was caused by the ram. I decided to change my rams clockspeed to 2133mhz, and it worked perfectly. I was annoyed, but i had a lot of homework, so i didn't have time to try to fix it. It has now been about a month, and it is still nagging me that i cant use my ram at 2400mhz, when that is what it is designed for.

I hope someone can help me, or at least diagnose the problem. My suspicions are that my ram is bad, but i dont want to replace my ram if it is not necessary.

GTX 1080 (not overclocked)

i7-6700k (not overclocked)
