DVI HDMI Difference

Jongofet

In short; their are some nuanced differences between these display standards, which may or may not matter to you.

Displayport basically has all the advantages.

But, DVI for example has a lower resolution it supports, but the dual link variety does support 144Hz. Some monitor dont have DP and thus DVI would be the only way to get the 144Hz out of it.

HDMI, as opposed to DVI, also carries audio with it and is kind of ubiquitous, meaning 'everyone and everything' uses it.
