1920x stutters hard.

orze

ive been working at graphical desing for a while and a while ago made myself a 1920x pc.

it is used for gaming too on the side (that he does nicly!)

but i got 1 problem with it. IT ALWAYS STTUTERS.

i dont get why?!

did i built it badly?

i built so many pc's before. never had a problem

did i chose bad parts?(ill list them later here)

maybe its the ram as i wanted to save money while ram was too expensive latly and wait for prices to go down so i got a pair of crosair vengence 2400 for cheap.

can they be hurting the cpu performance this hard? to the point of sttuter?

this pc is a

1920x

asus prime a x399 mobo

asus gtx strix 1080.

2x8 crosair vengence 2400 (be getting low latancy c15 3600 soon)

a good power supply 750+

anyideas?

tell me if i frogat any details!

cpu: 5950x

mobo: asus tuf pro x570

gpu: 3090 FE

ram: 32gb G.SKILL Trident Z 3200 c14

psu: Antec HCP1300w Platinum (overkill i know...got it for a good price)

Way back when TR first came out I had a stuttering issue. It was because High Precision Event Timer was enabled (AI Suite turned it on). I forget the procedure to check, but you should be able to google it pretty quickly. I would start there.

Also, please state your exact PSU.

No, it's just a command you run in windows cmd to check and see if HPET is enabled.

You know that 1920X supports quad channel?

Getting another 2x8GB 2400MHz sticks will help you way more than replacing what you have for another dual channel.

Whatever article you find that tells you it's on will also have instructions for disabling it.

They do. Im just saying that using 4x8GB 2400MHz will have WAY MORE bandwidth than 2x8GB 3600MHz.

Anywya, I very much doubt that you will be able to run 3600MHz on QuadChannel without manual tweaking which may take a lot of time. Just get 4 sticks of  2933MHz to 3200MHz and stick with it.

That said. The way the ThreadRipper works may actualy cause you some issues if you are only using Dual Channel, but that depends on whether you are using NUMA or SMP.

I recommend you to first read what NUMA and SMP modes are, then try to play with them with your current configuration and see if swiching between them helps.

Its not important.

It helps.

And the chances that you will be able to run the speeds you want are slim.
