So over the last few months I've been looking out for deals to build my own PC currently I have

Razer Nzxt Case

Ryzen 5 1600 with wraith fan

600w EVGA power supply

250 SSD from pny

1tb Western digital

Msi tomahawk b350

And I have 16 GB of ddr3 muskin enhaced redline  ram  lol ik I need ddr4 but I got these as a gift so I'm gonna try to sell to get some ddr4

The last thing I need is a good gpu I'm leaning towards and rtx2060 but I don't have enough for it yet so I was thinking maybe I get get a rx580 instead and later no upgrade to the 2060 any help would be appreciated ?

What PSU model is it? There are lots of 600w EVGA PSU's, and some are dog shit and some are amazing. Also, I suggest you get b450 over b350 because b450 is usually better. Make sure you're getting DDR4-3000 speed RAM, since Ryzen performs optimally with 3000mhz.

If you're gaming at 1080p an RX 580 8GB is great, and an RTX 2060 would be good for 1440p and 1080p.

At the Tomahawk's level, the difference between B350 and B450 is pretty negligible. There are minimal differences between the B350 and B450 Tomahawk's VRMs, and OP also already has the B350 Tomahawk so I can't imagine it's worth getting rid of and swapping out at this point (especially since they're running a 1st gen chip.)

As far as the PSU goes though, yeah. It's interesting how much variance there is in EVGA's range between utter shit and gold.

Yea get a B450 motherboard like an MSI (tomahawk) or Asrock (pro4). Or do you already own it? And the RX 580 will be just fine as long as you're playing 1080p, if you're playing 1440p be prepared to lower some settings ? The RTX 2060 sounds great and all, but if you don't need it, I would just get the 580 for now and save up over the next year or so. Hopefully by then there will be better options and hopefully better pricing.

I guess I should have expected the marginal difference between the two tomahawks, but good to know.

You gotta have PSUs for everyone, I guess?

RX580 is fine, playing Forza horizon 4 ultra at 60fps.

If you're content with 1080p and 60fps, it will be okay for 2-3 years.

Plus is cheap now.

Honestly, I can't blame you for picking up that PSU. It was a good sale. I suggest that you pick up a better PSU.

Take a look at this list here. Any power supply in Tier A and Tier B are good. 650w is more than enough for you, so even getting a 550 is enough.

I admire your bargain hunting but, with a 4x2 you dont have much room for expansion .. even when I'm just surfing the forums, Facebook and you tube I'm using close to 2-3g of memory .. unless you want to shut everything down every time you want to game, I'd suggest returning and getting a 2x4g kit
