Hi, I've been having some strange performance issues in Hitman 2.

I've been getting 40-50 FPS at 768p on lowest settings, even though I would've thought my hardware would be more capable.

My specs are:

AMD Ryzen 3 2200g

1x8GB Ballistix sport 2400Mhz DDR4 RAM

MSI A320M PRO-VH PLUS

AMD Radeon RX580 8GB (IK this is overkill compared to the other parts, but I was in a situation where I just had one spare)

Corsair RM850X (Overkill compared to the rest of the PC for the same reason)

120GB Kingston SSD

500GB Seagate HDD

I don't have issues in any other games

That'll do it

So 1: 2200g

and 2: Ryzen benefits from fast dual channel memory, which you have neither of

I'm running on the GPU, also I didn't think my framerate would be so low on 768p with lowest settings, even though the CPU isn't great and there isn't any dual channel. Are you certain that this is the issue?

I'd be fairly certain. What do you get on 1080p? What does your cpu and gpu usage look like in game?

my CPU is usually running at 75-80% utilisation, RAM is at about 80-85%, and I don't remember GPU but it was lower than 70%. I haven't tried it on 1080p since my monitor is only 768p

Oh gotcha. Yeah thats a little off. Tried running off the iGPU? Get all the appropriate drivers?

The iGPU is on because I was using it before I started using the dedicated card, and I updated drivers today. I'll turn the iGPU off now

No like, what is the performance when using the igpu?

ohhh sorry I didn't understand, I'll enable the iGPU again and take the GPU out

If you plug the video cable into the motherboard it will use the igpu rather than the 580.

Unless thats what you've been doing all along. Have you had your video cable plugged into the motherboard or gpu?

I had it plugged into the graphics card, and I just tested it without it, and the scores halved, before it was 7.8FPS min, 240 FPS max and 43 FPS avg, now it's 3FPS min, 110 FPS max and 21 FPS avg, going to use the GPU again
