NVIDIA Control Panel Keeps Setting Display Back to 60 Hz

TTesla

As title states. This happens like once every week or two, and ?might? be associated with me turning my display off using the power button on it (instead of letting the display sleep automatically).

Display is Dell AW3418DW, if that matters (G-Sync monitor).

This is clearly infuriating, but also embarrassing, because I don't really notice sometimes :((((((

How fix?

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.

Did you install any software with the monitor? I read that some monitors that come with their own software override the refresh rate on startup to save its life. Whatever that means.

edit: also, do you have the latest Nvidia drivers installed ?

No software, and yes latest drivers.
