GPT or MBR

Hello guys, I just got a new 500 GB Samsung 970 EVO and wanted to know whether to use GPT or MBR. Thanks!

What OS and what use case? Windows only supports MBR.

What are you using it for? If it's for a boot drive, probably MBR; I've had Windows refuse to install on GPT drives.

Windows has zero support for GPT drives. Thankfully, that's how I scored a 120GB SSD for $5 about a year ago ;)

I am using it as a boot drive for Windows 10 and a few games. I just want to make sure, this is my first time getting an SSD.

then it will pick for you during the install, but normally go gpt

Weird, maybe only the pro version or something? Last time I tried (albeit this was over a year ago) it wouldn't detect a GPT SSD.

wait what? why would anyone want to use MBR? and Media Creation Tool automatically installs Windows on the USB as a GPT partition
