New case install

marcemarc30

hi guy, tomorrow i am planning to move all of my computer components into a new case, just a quick question about the cleaning the old thermal paste of the cpu. Would it best to remove the cpu from the motherboard to clean it or is it best to just leave it in the motherboard to clean it?? I am only asking because i have bought a water cooler for the cpu so i will need to remove the old air cooler.

Thanks

It's ok if you leave it in, just make sure nothing gets on the motherboard.
