Haswell Stock Cooling

Is the stock cooling with an 4670 (not overclocked) be okay or will I need to upgrade to a better cooler. Note this isn't about noise, this is in regards to heat.

I'd upgrade to a better cooler. Mine got noisy after a few weeks.

Stock cooler is good enough if you aren't overclocking. If you want it to be cooler and quieter get a custom cooler.

I'm using the stock cooler with my 4670k and it's fine. Even under max load temps are ok. Just don't overclock as people have said above. I haven't found the noise to be a problem, but maybe that's just my case as it has soundproofing

It's ok with the stock cooler, although idle it's like 40 C for me and be sure to check the fan speed when under load.

For the sake of 20 quid I would go with an after market cooler.

It will be quieter and cool better.

The reason why everyone is against stock ones is noise. Since that doesn't (yet) bother you, you'll be fine with stock cooler. If you get annoyed to noise, 212 is most suggested cheap cooler in here.

it will keep it cool if you have good airflow in your case but there are far better solutions for a cheap price like the CM Hyper 212 EVO.
