Audio Splitter (Newbie needs help)

With an audio splitter like that there is no way to switch outputs, that splitter just turns one audio output into two. You would need a 3.5mm switch to actually change the outputs.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

so i want to change from my speaker to headphones in one button

so i bought an audio splitter, i plug my speaker and headphone

but when i do that, the audio came from both of the speaker and headphone

how to make only one of them sounds

thanks

A splitter just duplicates the input.  If you want one to work and not the other you need a switch, like this:

Or just unplug the one you don't want.
