Hi guys currently I'm considering to sell my gtx 1060 6 GB and buying a new one. Maybe rtx 2060 or rx 590 because I don't really need the new shining nonexistent ray tracing bulshit. And my CPU is r5 1500x so should I upgrade my CPU as well? And if yes then what will be my best choice? I think ryzen will be best if I need to upgrade because then I won't have to buy a new motherboard. Also very important detail is my selling price of gtx 1060. Here its still skyrocket prices and month ago I bought a new monitor with freesynch so this is the reason for considering to replace my GPU with rx 590 at all. Do you think i need to upgrade anything at all now or i can wait a year or two for something better for my GPU and CPU?

2060 looks good, 590 not so much.

the cpu will be okay, i think you should hold it longer and wait for Ryzen 3rd gen this summer.

you really should sell the 1060 as soon as possible, as the demand will shift to 2060, the market will be littered with used 1060.

also miners are selling RX580 which is a direct competitor to 1060 for dirt cheap price.

you really going to compete with their price.

the cpu is pretty strong though if you do want to consider a cpu upgrade i would wait for that till Q2 of this year to see what kind of shiny new toys we get from AMD or what deals there are to be had on the older 1000 and 2000 series chips from AMD. And as for the price for your gpu honestly each market is different but where I live in Florida the 1060 6gb goes for between $150-200 on the used market.
