People.... who need to adapt a sim.

Why not just get a little frame made out of the same material and slot your sim into that, seems like a much simpler solution than that contraption. They give them out for free in phone shops here in Ireland

I think it's so you can activate a sim card using your phone without having to cut it to the right size or breaking out the nano-sim bit of a multi-sim (hence the name "Sim activation tool"). IDK why you wouldn't just break out the nano-sim and use one of these though, it seems like that would be cheaper.

Meanwhile in 2024: Ivy Bridge-E has finally retired from gaming (but is still not dead).

Desktop: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X; 64GB DDR5-6000; Palit RTX 5080 / Server: Intel Xeon 1680V2; 64GB DDR3-1600 ECC / Laptop:  Dell Precision 5540; Intel Core i7-9850H; NVIDIA Quadro T1000 4GB; 32GB DDR4

The sim part is just a passthrough. It says in the listing that it only fits iphones. It is supposed to adapt a smartcard to an iPhone. Why you would do this is beyond me. Usually it's an identification card, but I cant think of any good use for it.
