I need help in Trig

So I’m learning Trig right now, I’m getting better at Sin Cos and Tan, just learned those today, but I’m stuck on this problem, I’m not asking for the answer, just how to do it

I have to find X using the angle and the side I’m given, we never learned about this in class (we just did Sin Cos Tan today)

 

how is do I do this? Please help I need to get a good grade in this class

To point you in the right direction you might want to label each side and then wright out sin cosine and tangent as ratios of the sides.

 

Also, congrats for your attitude, if you keep on going like this you should be able to get a good grade in the class.

SOH. Sine: sin(θ) = Opposite / Hypotenuse

CAH:  Cosine: cos(θ) = Adjacent / Hypotenuse

TOA: Tangent: tan(θ) = Opposite / Adjacent

 

You need to find the Opposite and you know the Hypotenuse, so you would use _______ ?

So Sin..

Well i was paying attention, and I don’t remember learning about this part, all we learned about was Soh Cah Toa
