So I just got a GTX 770 for my computer. I really like it but it blocks the sata ports on my motherboard. I can work around it with a right angled sata cable but I only have one (although I can probably get another) and my motherboard has the sata ports arranged in a way that using another one will block off other sata ports and I'll be limited to around 2. (If you want to see what I mean, this is the motherboard I have https://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=312)
Any way I can work around this? I only need two drives but I would like the option to use more.

you could get a sata addon card that will plug into your PCI slots, otherwise only way would be to get a mini card.

I wouldn't really recommend that, PCI bandwidth is crazy low

However, I'm curious as to how much a regular sata cable could flex under this GPU

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

20-30$ off amazon. Probably could get cheaper than that.

I can give it a try in a bit, best not to try it while it's already on.

My brother had a similar problem but had a more forgiving sata layout so hopefully it could work for you too.

They have PCIE ones, but, still, they are cheap and not exactly the pinnacle of engineering...

I would get a right angle connector if that solves your problem before going with an add on SATA card.

can you move the GPU to a lower PCIE slot which would give you clearance for your SATA ports maybe?

A picture of the motherboard reveals only one PCIe slot, and 2 pci slots. It's an lga 775 board so options are limited.

Do not get any sata add in cards that use PCI. The PCI bus cannot transfer more than 133MB/s in theory, less in reality. So if you have an SSD it will kill your speed and make it slower than most mechanical HDDs.

O...  I copied the link on my phone, but it didn’t show a specific board.

What setup do you have OP? I have a i5 760, asus sabertooth mobo and 4GB of DDR3 1333 for sale in the classifieds. I’ll sell you it for 45 bucks shipped if you want. Help a fellow gamer out :)

Well, it does have a PCIE x4 as the top most slot. Can put a SATA card in there as they are only x4 anyways.

Still, my 45 dollar option would slay a LGA 775 setup anyways ;)

It's tempting but I just spent all my money on this GPU. I am getting a job soon so can I take you up on that in a few weeks or so?

Sure. Its here. I also have a 3770k, motherboard and RAM to go with. 300 bucks shipped.... 16 GB of DDR3 1333 (two sticks are actually 1600, but two are 1333...) and with a hyper 212 Evo it did 4.6 GHz without an issue for the last 2 years. If you have a few more bucks, thats a hell of a system for 300 bucks IMO. If you are serious about either, PM me and we can work something out. I don't need to sell them ASAP, so if you want them, we can make something work I am sure.
