Hello everyone i am getting a used asus  gtx 1080 rog strix for 454.67 usd which is under 2 yrs warranty and in my country the market price for a new card is 1051.44 usd whereas the rtx 2060 has launched in my country at 440.47 usd. so which one should i buy as by seeing the video it seems that it's struggling to give over 50 fps when rtx is turned on at 4k but i don't know the average fps of 1080 for these titles. will rtx be a significant spec for future games or is its profitable to sacrifice rtx for a gtx 1080... please give ur reviews purely based on the performance . i will sacrifice my all hard earned money that i saved from a long time in this so please give your feedbacks cautiously . thank you..

you comments matters a lot...

So uh

Take a deep breath

Alright so here's what I recommend:

The gtx 1080 is more powerful in non-rtx games, and neither is so good in 4k at high detail levels. A GTX 1080 with a warranty for only $15 extra is a very good deal.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

I would first invest in a new keyboard as your current keyboard seems to be stuck on all capital letters, which makes reading anything you type somewhat difficult.

After buying a new keyboard and turning Caps Lock off, you shouldn't buy a 2060 for Ray Tracing anyway since it can't 'really' perform it well. The 2080Ti and Titan RTX can barely manage it at acceptable framerates.

My suggestion is to go with the 1080, after buying a keyboard with a working Caps Lock key.

GTX 1080 is obviously faster than RTX 2060, but the difference is small and the 2060 is also a little cheaper while being brand new with full warranty length. I myself would still get the 1080, but if you don't have an expected upgrade time then the potentially longer warranty (make sure that 2060 model offers that first) could be the better way.

Note that I didnt take RTX features into account, since they work on very few games.

As per benchmark reviews their is quite a comparable difference of about 3-4 fps in both the cards i.e. the gtx 1080 being ahead however if we consider rtx into account don't you think that it's a feature worth considering for a mere 3-4 FPS difference??

That FPS difference isn’t accurate as a whole. As that’s just the results of the benchmarks and conditions they were in.

All of which could change in your scenario.

Are you willing to wait or is the 2060 the longest you want to wait for a new gpu?
