Big Performance Differences Between 2 Systems Why?

So I have two computers. I was wondering why one was significantly faster in everything from booting, loading programs, saving and opening files and opening and closing windows and menus.

PC 2 is faster.

PC 1: slower

PSU: 650watt

MB: OEM

RAM: ddr3L 1333mhz 2x8gb

CPU: i7-6700K @ 4.0ghz

Boot: Samsung 860 Evo 250gb SATA SSD

GPU: GTX 1080

PC 2: faster

PSU: 1000watts

MB: Arock Z270 E4

RAM: ddr4 3000mhz 4x8gb

CPU:i7 6700K @ 4.4ghz

Boot: WD Black 500gb m.2 NVME

GPU: GTX 1080

...which one is the faster one? The one with the DDR4 memory and the NVME SSD?

If it's system 2, the advantages are:

More memory bandwidth due to speed and generation improvement

Faster transfer protocol

More memory (may or may not impact what you're doing, depends on what it is)

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

not to mentioned overclocked

Yeah, I know it's a stupid question (and frankly it's obvious which one it was) but there's oddball cases where the seemingly weaker build can be faster.

The 2nd one is faster. It also runs cooler in game settings (I play 1440p games at 60fps to 144fps depending on what I feel like).

I wanted to give the PC1 to my sister but was hoping it would perform very well. I can't beleive how snappy it felt now it feels like a HDD and Celeron. They both are pretty fresh in installs in fact the PC1 runs less programs at every instance (no stupid 3rd party rgb controllers)
