I'd suggest waiting a while right now, although it was rumored that Intel processors codename Broadwell were going to be released early 2014 they've postponed it to around a different quarter of this year so it's still unknown. For graphics cards its a good thing you're waiting as the 700 series is showing descent competitive prices against the amd side of graphics card. Maxwell should address a lot of thing in the next generation of graphics cards from nvidia (hypothetical 800 series :))

Not a bad system but is it necessary so badly right now? If you save up a bit more I guess most thing will still be in your budget and new pc system.

Well... the only other thing I forgot is budget which is not really any. Those are pretty much set in stone except maybe the ram.

Aim: Gaming like I said

Monitors: 1, but doesn't matter

Peripherals: Don't need

Rough budget before people throw 1TB ssd's at you?

Currency? Where are you shopping/location?

Resolution you're gaming at? Is a copy of windows needed?

If you're waiting for maxwell, you might as well plan later.

I don't really have a budget but like I said, most if not everything is set in stone. As long as it makes sense and is worth its price i'm willing to get it. However, i'm just starting to look for things in case some go on sale so i'm wondering if those parts make sense for now. I'm assuming it wouldn't matter whether or not I get it soon or later if i'm waiting for maxwell.

I'm in BC Canada, most likely buying from NCIX, unless its cheaper elsewhere.

My monitor is 1080p.

No windows needed.

For 1080p gaming, I'd really suggest just going with a 780 and upgrading when you need to: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/2B2X6

So it's not really worth the wait for maxwell? The most intensive game I play is bf4 atm.

For 1080p, probably not. You can always wait if you want to though.

I could be wrong and like I've said before: "I'm not a Wizard."

Well, I can still live with a 560ti so I guess the wait is fine.

In terms of RAM though, any better options you would suggest that is red color? Unless its the dominator plats. :P

And for the fans, I don't know how many I should get and whats optimal.

Just pick whatever 8GB kit you want off of NCIX. Brand doesn't really matter.
