Bottlenecking

I recently installed a brand new GTX 1070 Ti into my computer and it seems to be bottlenecking. Current specs are: i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz ; 8 gb RAM ; 4TB Storage (C + D) drives

Anyone want to help me figure out how to solve this bottlenecking?

What makes you think it is bottlenecking? I really don't think it should be with that CPU.

Well ever since I replaced my graphics card simple tasks such as internet browsers have began to slow down a lot. I am now able to run games I wasn’t before, but even then sometimes the games I had before either close randomly or never load whenever I attempt to load into them. For example, I will open up a game and attempt to start something in it and it’ll take 5-10 minutes before it loads then immediately closes me out.

Are you sure that you don't have drive issues? You should also try reformatting, so you can free up space on your drives and reinstall the games you want to play.

I sure shouldn’t have drive issues, not only are they running smoothly but I have more than 2 tb free on my D drive and that’s my primary one

Sounds like a weak cpu problem. As well as little ram.

Download "Display Driver Uninstaller" - Clean and do a fresh reinstall of the latest drivers.

 

Based on your symptoms this is not bottlenecking but either an issue with the drivers or your power supply not giving enough juice.

I’ve just recently installed the latest updates and I just today finished installing a windows update, and since the windows update it has been worse than ever. Anyone know why?

If you're at 1x8GB dimm, you could upgrade to dual channel to improve performance.

Do a clean driver reinstall.  Sounds like something is broken in software.
