My mom wants me to upgrade her system i have 50-80 USD here's what im working with.

1GB DDR-SDRAM

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 Video card

Actually, I changed my mind. Don't spend any money on it, just overclock it, if it dies, not a big loss. Save up for a real pc.

I was hoping for more along the lines of a MB/CPU combo that still supports the video card and ddr1

You "could" find something that is a slight improvement for that money on ebay, but honestly, just wait until you have a tiny bit more cash.

The best you could get while still using your AGP gpu, and DDR1 memory is an AMD socket 939 mobo and compatible cpu, or intel socket 478 and compatible cpu, not worth the upgrade in my opinion.

You are looking at hardware from around 2004 if you stick with DDR1.
