help old cpu with windows10

hello.. 

i have an old i7 3770 with 16gb ram and i am using windows 7. i need to format it but i am thinking to install w10.  is windows 10 good with old computers? or is it batter to keep  w7?

Windows 10 will work fine, even on a Core 2 Duo from 2006, as long as you have a SSD to boot from. W7 is going end of life in january 2020 so you better upgrade before that.

I run an old Core 2 Duo system with 4GBs of RAM as a NAS. Runs just fine.

I used to run it on a xp designed laptop, it was slow, but it worked. performencewise w7 is simulair to w10

The slowest I tried W10 on was a Dell Inspiron 9300, a Pentium M single core with 2GB of RAM and a makeshift IDE SSD. It was tolerable, but I wouldn't dare call it fast. W7 was miles better.

I have an i5 2500k, and windows 10. It works great because of one of the main factors of how fast windows 10 runs is if you are booting from a hard drive or SSD.

- OS          : Windows 10 64-bit

 

Running perfectly, never had serious issues. Even after W10 Updates.

Depends on the Graphics card.

If you plan on using the old Integrated unit it might be problematic.

 

But with a decently modern one that has native Windows 10 drivers, there is no issue with older stuff on Windows 10...

 

At least if we're talking about DDR-2 SDRAM System. DDR-1 SDRAM Systems don't work in the 64bit Win 10 Version
