Anyone ever had a cat that needed you as much as a dog? Cats are usually very independent but one of mine acts around me like most dogs do. I'm gone for too long and the cat is worried and looking for me even if it's around lots of other cats and people, if it's inside it always wants to be in the room with me and outside it tends to be mostly independent but will follow me if it had not seen me since the morning. The cat always snuggles with me at night and meow at my bedroom door to let it in if it's closed. If I'm asleep it will sleep outside my door and wait until I get up and then come In. I just was curious how common this is as almost every cat I ever had or knew was very loving and caring and if you got hurt or sick they tended to cuddle up with you but essentially were fine being alone and on their own for long periods of time and if they did not see you for weeks they were just fine. I think my cat is secretly a dog

Yea I had cats like that

I have 6 cats at the moment. One is independent completely. 2 of the other 5 adore me and follow me around noon stop. The other 3 cling to my wife as if she is going to vanish on them.
