I went to BOIS to change the boot order and it does show up. Made the 970 as 1st and the 750 and secondary.

I might have installed windows on the 750 because the windows installer said disk 1,2 or 3 so not sure which is which.

There's at least part of your problem.

If you want Windows on your m.2 drive, then physically unplug all other drives, and install windows only to the m.2 (as it will be the only option)

After windows boots up, you can plug in the other drives (powered down of course) and use as normal.

Hello,

I recently just installed a new M.2 SSD into my PC. I reinstalled windows onto the m.2 (I think) and not it doesnt show up. The 750 Evo i have still shows up but 970 Evo doesn't.

At the start when I tried to install windows on the 970 the but got an error saying "We couldn't install windows in the location your choose", and after some googling I saw a reddit post and did what they said.

  • Boot up with Windows installation media (USB/DVD)

  • On the first screen. Press SHIFT + F10 and type the following:

  • diskpart

  • select disk 0

  • clean

  • exit

  • exit

Then afterwards it can install and how I have this problem. Both the ssd seems to be using the same bus number 0 while my hhd is using bus number 1.

Step one: Remove the SSD drive, and go into your BIOS and ensure the m.2 drive is seen.

If it is, try to boot Windows from there. If you get an error, report it please.
