QLED v vs IPS Panel

Turtle Rig

What yall think of this.  I have no experience with IPS or QLED in front of my face, so someone shed light.  Is QLED like IPS where the colors look incredible good and how the artist wanted you to see it ?

Only issues I've had with OLED is burn in on a TV.  They need a way to solve that before I would buy an OLED monitor.

Disregard, I'm losing it.  QLED, Not OLED....

QLED is an enhanced backlight technology that provides wide color gamut. It can be paired with any panel type. Think of it as an updated replacement for the RGB-LED backlight.

Thank you for that nice reponse.  But my thing is does the monitor look as good as a IPS panel or worse or better.

My QLED monitor is IPS. They aren't mutually exclusive.

Yes it is 144hz. Although because it is 4k you are limited to 120hz if you don't want to use color compression and if you want 10 bit color for HDR 10 you actually can only go up to 98hz. That being said even with a 2080ti it's hard to hit 98 fps in most games.

As long as the refresh is high ,, doesn't matter if your FPS doesn't reach ity your going to have a much better experience then a 60hz.  More fluid life alike animation.. double the pixels per second, doesn't matter what FPS you have.  So ya 98fps for a 120hz is not a bad thing.

I can push out fps into the 90s and the difference between that and 60 is actually massive. The one game I can play a pretty consistent 98 fps is bfv and it is absolutely gorgeous. Also HDR video looks fantastic. It does have 1000 nits peak brightness so sometimes bright objects or scenes make it feel like you are looking at the sun.

WTF this is a game or what.  Too many limitations going on.  Anyhow.  I have a question can you turn on HDR on this without having a game that does HDR.  Because doesn't HDR effect the desktop too.  I know on my tv I turn on HDR and shit looks pretty amazing .... same goes for pc desktop or no ?

In other words can you just use it in desktop and in games.  Or is it made to only work when it detects a game is using HDR and what not.
