I have my controller coming out the bottom of the front panel.

 So I can change the lighting at anytime.

Define meshify c tg dark

 

Other build I have it sneakily passing through the io sheild.

Once again so I can change the light at anytime.

Depends on case, but I would either stash it to 5.25" bay or in HDD bay. If you need to access it easy, then place where you can do that just by opening case.
