Do motherboards ship with a updated bios for 9th gen Intel

OX_S

I recently decided my pc was due for an upgrade to an intel chipset and I'm looking to replace the mobo cpu and ram but as i was putting together some parts I noticed an error warning on pcpartpicker (I was using this to easily check compatibility) telling me that I may need to update the motherboard bios with an older 8th gen cpu before i can use a 9th gen cpu with the motherboard. The motherboard I was planning on using was the Asus ROG STRIX B360-F motherboard with a i5-9600k cpu. Does anyone know if this motherboard already ships with an updated bios that supports 9th gen, or when motherboards will start to be sold with an updated bios? I really would like to avoid using the older 8th gen i5 because it is more expensive and slower and older.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU Intel - Core i5-9600K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor $249.99 @ Walmart
Motherboard Asus - ROG STRIX B360-F GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $123.93 @ Amazon
Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts
  Total $373.92

For a 9600K i'd look for Z370 or Z390 boards instead.

Then go with a regular 9600. If you can't get a Z-series board, there is no use in getting an unlocked "-k" processor since you can't overclock anyways.

You've got two options...

1) Drop the 9600K and go with an i7 8700 using that B360 board.

or

2) Use the 9600K and accept that you need to pay a bit more for either a Z370 or Z390 board.

i dont think a regular i5-9600 exists, at least you can't buy it on any major retailer website

A friend of mine recently encountered this. He just took the motherboard to a local PC retailer and they updated the BIOS for him, with a small fee of course. That's always an option.

I'm upgrading to Intel because I barely record or stream, I mostly just game so there is no point in me getting a AMD cpu

My bad, wasn't thinking too much into what I was typing. Anyway, point is don't get an unlocked processor if your mobo can't take advantage of oc'ing it.

Ya, but you're complaining about not having the budget for an expensive motherboard.

Might wanna read through this: https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-3000-zen-2-cpus-ryzen-9-3900x-ryzen-7-ryzen-5-listed-online/

Is this a good Z390 board? It fits my builds color scheme and doesn't cost more than the ROG STRIX B360 board.

I mean, it seems to have good reviews on the surface, I'd recommend watching some more in-depth videos and reviews before making your decision. Some on the forum who have experience with that board may be able to help you also.
