Hey there everyone,

Has anyone used homtom? I randomly found them and they have a nice spec 10,000maH battery phone for $169

As a general rule: if you see a very low-priced phone with ridiculous specs, it might be legit but it's probably not as good as it sounds.  One obvious concern: it's using a pretty mediocre MediaTek chip.  It's probably going to be pretty slow.  I also noticed that they didn't mention the resolution of that 18:9 screen, which to me suggests it might not be 1080p.

 

It would be fun to see Linus review this phone, but something tells me it wouldn't be very flattering!

Ah i just noticed on some of their other 18:9 phones, it is a 640 x 1280 resolution. 

 

Maybe these would be good for children who run down batteries but do not need a $1000 phone.
