yes it says activate windows and i got a key on a usb by a friend. he said it didnt need a key to work. sadly he was wrong and i dont want to spend so much money so i thought if i buy a key from example G2A.COM or Kinguin. since i have done so that i can use windows for a limited time and ive already installed allot of games this past few days. do i have to delete them or can i just put in the key like normal. sorry if my grammar is bad im kinda tired since new years eve. also a install guide for someone who has already installed the 30 day trial version would help. i dont want to download all my games again. also the key is a windows 10 pro oem key if that matters

yes i am but i asked if its possible thanks for the link tho but its way to much money

A: Please quote people with the arrow below their post

B: if you manage to activate Windows with the key you have then congratulations, you saved a lot of money

if not though, a) it's a Czech company and b) they have a rather extensive warranty and licence legallity coverage policy.

Mind that typically an OEM key locks down to the hardware it's first installed to and doesn't work on a different computer.

DISCLOSURE: I have a new laptop that came with Windows 10 Home, I wanted Pro, so I forced an upgrade, bought a key from that website and then activated and bound it to my Microsoft account without any issues.

If you buy from a site like G2A or Kinguin you'll probably need to activate Windows by phone.

Its a free number and you don't have to speak with anyone it's just a couple phone menus you have to go through.

All that said, Windows 10 is free to use so, if you don't mind the text in the corner then, it doesn't need to be registered.

No, I just used a generic Windows 10 Pro key to force the upgrade, then in settings, activation I just punched in the new key and it activated right away

i get an error named 0xC004C008 its reccomended that i call them but we did and never got to the part where we are supposed to talk with them then get confirmation id

Yeah, it took me like an hour trying again and again until I got to the part where it asks for the install ID.

So I suggest you try doing that as well. If you need help finding your install ID then, here's a simple article on that: Link

I believe you had to choose like:

- I'm trying to activate Win10 - I have a product key - Trouble after hardware swap - Error code ends with C008 then it should ask you how many machines have you used the key for and just say 1.

I don't remember completely but, I hope that helps.
