Hello, again Forum. Last night I posted on the forum wondering why games were not running at their usual framerate, and I have successfully figured out the reason why; my CPU is not running at it's full speed. I have an AMD Ryzen 5 1600, and instead of running at 3.2 GHz, It's running at 1.38 GHz max. I have posted a screenshot along with the thread showing when I throttle my CPU to its max, and it cannot hit 100%. It shows the base speed as 3.2 GHz, and it shows in BIOS that the speed is 3.2 GHz, but it cannot perform it. Anything helps. Thank you.

I think either task manager is wrong or you're thermal throttling, easy to check which it is with HWMonitor

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I don't think task manager is wrong, as all my games were running at about 80 frames lower, but I will check out HWMonitor.

I just remembered that this is actually a slightly common problem with first gen Ryzen, and resetting BIOS to optimized defaults might help you.
