What i7 to buy?!

Hey.

I’m looking to buy an i7 CPU, because my current one, (the i5 6500) can’t handle streaming. But i don’t know which i7 that’ll suit me best. I currently stream at 720p 60fps, but i want to do 1080p 60 fps. I don’t do any video editing or anything. Just Streaming and Gaming.

- Any help is appreciated

My PC

CPU - i5 6500 (got a good "Cooler Master" cooler for it)

GPU - GTX 1060 6gb MSI

RAM - HyperX 16gb DDR4

Motherboard - MSI Z170A GAMING M3 MOTHERBOARD

Windows 10

Thanks in advance!

Try and find a used 6700K or 7700K (requires BIOS update) on Ebay.

Try NVENC with your 1060, if it works for you then the CPU won't be necessary. Since you have an overclocking motherboard a K-SKU i7 is also a great upgrade if you need it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Used 6700K or 7700K ( with a bios update of course) You should be good with that, I would suggest getting a water cooler if you wanting to overclock.

CPU: Intel Core i9 9900K | Ram: 16GB Corsair LPX 3000 DDR4 | Asus Maximus XI Hero Z390 | GPU: EVGA RTX2080 XC | 960 EVO Samsung 500GB M.2 | 850 EVO Samsung 250GB M.2 | Samsung 1TB QVO SSD | 1TB HDD WD Blue

Laptop: Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 9370 | I7 1065G7 | 32GB DDR4 | 1TB SSD |
